Coffee Tables & Benches

Sleek and low, these sturdy coffee tables double as benches for entries or hallways, too. The finish is durable, scratch-resistant marine-grade varnish. It'll stand up to whatever you sit on it. Don't worry about coasters. Yet the richness of the wood glows through.

 

Rich oak is banded by deep, dark wenge and punctuated with strips and pyramids of maple and padauk in a natural rhythm. Outer edge of the octagonal tabletop is embraced in walnut. Handy wide shelf is likewise edged with dramatic color, and wenge strips on legs ground the whole piece. Sturdy and heavy, yet not hazardous to passing shins or active children.

 A strip of padouk runs the length of this table. Fiery red oak grain matches across the width. Edge is inlaid with padouk, wenge, maple and mahogany. The stabilizing bar is oak and padouk, and the legs also have a strip of padouk running through, with wenge on the outer edges.

This piece was made to be shipped flat via UPS, so it easily assembled using bolts (included). A little glue is optional, but always a good idea. All the pieces fit in a 2" high box. Here's how easily it's assembled:

Another coffee table, this one with a strip of alternating oak blocks running down the center, framed by a thin strip of wenge and wider strips of cherry. Edges are embellished with wenge, padouk, cherry, mahogany and maple.

You'll think twice about a tablecloth. The finish is all-natural and non-toxic, made with ingredients like beeswax, linseed oil, and orange. Layers of oil penetrate and petrify the wood, highlighting natural effects and making the surface as hard as a rock.

This solid oak table, with details in mahogany, wenge, maple, padouk and teak, creates a beautiful setting for dinner or conversation. The footrest is perfect for massaging tired feet, too! Strong enough to dance on, the table disassembles for easy transport.

Meditate on the mesmerizing beauty of natural wood set in designs that amplify the energies of your sacred space. Great care is taken to create rhythms and geometries that resonate with stillness.

 

This piece is samurai-influenced, custom designed for a peaceful warrior martial artist. Padouk edge is inlaid with strips of maple around the top ("heaven") and teak in the base ("earth"). A hidden drawer below the shelf balances the top detail, and is perfect for storing incense, books, and other accoutrements. Silky sleek hand-rubbed finish leads to deep contemplation on the perfection of nature. Even the back of the piece is detailed to delight.

This headboard was commissioned by the client who bought our first coffee table. The design is similar, with similar woods:  again, solid red oak with mahogany, wenge, padouk and maple.
